Motorcycle Crash – Negligent Left Turn

Hayward, CA, September 2019. While delivering a donated car to a storage yard, a Kars4Kids contractor made a left turn directly in the path of an oncoming motorcyclist. The resulting crash caused devastating brain and spinal cord injuries.

We animate many motorcycle injuries and have a high level of expertise in their causes and consequences for victims.

T-Bone – Rammed by Police

Merced, CA, June 2017. Responding to a call, but not engaging his siren, a sheriff’s deputy sped through a red light crashing into a young couple making a lawful left turn. Traveling at over 40MPH, he caused permanent, devastating injuries to both victims, including severe traumatic brain injury.

Each plaintiff received a settlement of $3 million.

Motorcycle injury – Truck blocks roadway

Modesto, CA, July 2020. A Salvation Army truck driver makes an unsafe left turn. When he sees an oncoming motorcyclist, he stops the truck, blocking the entire road span. Left with no room to maneuver, our victim clips the front of the truck and suffers a horrific crash.

Severe traumatic brain injuries, spinal fractures and broken bones resulted in coma, months of hospitalization, and multiple emergency surgeries.

Whenever surveillance or dash cam footage is available, we incorporate it into the animated video. This also applies to scene photography and vehicle damage.

Internal injuries – Run over by a bus

Sacramento, CA, February 2016. Crossing at an intersection, a woman was run over by a bus and dragged 120 feet before screaming passengers could get the driver to stop. The victim’s injuries were so severe that she needed seven surgeries in 5 days. She lay in a coma for months.

After seeing the trial animations, defense settled for $12,000,000.00 at mediation.

Motorcycle injury – Reckless lane change

Petaluma, CA, August 2019. On a busy freeway, a cargo van driver changed lanes without indicating or checking that the lane was clear. Our victim suffered catastrophic brain and multiple spinal injuries.

Every injury animation includes a ‘slow motion x-ray’ replay to show injury causation. A second animated video goes through each injury in detail on anatomical models, augmented with photos and medical imaging.

Truck Injury – Unsafe Ramp

Fairfield, CA, August 2016. A badly engineered earthen ramp at a construction site failed, causing a cement truck to tip over. The driver suffered severe spinal and traumatic brain injuries.

Motorcycle Collision – Sequence of Events

San Jose, CA, October 2019. A motorcycle mechanic was test driving a customer’s vehicle to ensure all repairs were satisfactory. A distracted Uber driver turned left directly in front of him. This crash resulted in multiple bone and spinal fractures as well as a Traumatic brain injury.

We end every crash video by overlaying scene footage or photographs on the computer graphic. This has a compelling effect on the Jury by emphasizing the accuracy of the animation.

Multi-vehicle collision

On the Hayward\Martinez Bridge, California, August 2021, a Caltrans tow truck driver made an unsafe U-Turn in the middle of the bridge span. A multi-vehicle crash resulted with horrific injuries and a car fire.

Construction Site Injury – Unsafe Handrail

In Oakland, California, October 2018, a construction worker suffered severe brain and spinal injuries due to a loosely attached handrail next to a very steep staircase.

He hit a pedestrian causing traumatic brain and spinal injuries.

Motorcycle Crash – Illustration of injuries

In San Rafael, California, November 2015, a motorcyclist collided with a motorist performing an unsafe turn.

Catastrophic brain, spine and organ injuries resulted, with the victim remaining in a coma for 3 months after the crash.

Zantac Production Pipeline

As part of litigation involving Glaxo Smith Kline, this animation illustrates the steps in production and distribution of Zantac heart burn medication.

Key to the case was showing how Ranitidine, the active ingredient in Zantac before 2020, decays into carcinogenic NDMA with time, heat and humidity.

Big Rig vs Motorcycle

In Sacramento California, July 2020, an inattentive truck driver lost control of his vehicle, causing it to spin 180 degrees and into the lane of an oncoming motorcyclist – resulting in horrific brain and spinal injuries.
